Energy Infrastructure for Today and Tomorrow

For over 50 years, NGT has been managing critical offshore energy infrastructure 24/7, connecting the North Sea to the Netherlands and Northwest Europe.

Today, our infrastructure ensures the safe and reliable transport of natural gas to households, businesses, and industrial processes. In the future, this infrastructure could play a key role in the transport of new energy carriers, such as hydrogen and CO₂.

Reliable Energy for Today

Natural gas continues to play an important role in the energy system of the Netherlands and Northwestern Europe.

NGT provides the infrastructure that enables a significant portion of the Netherlands’ offshore natural gas production to reach the market.

Domestic offshore production contributes to security of supply and makes use of existing infrastructure. NGT has a historical reliability factor of 99.5%.

It is our responsibility to transport and process this energy safely and reliably, with as low an environmental impact as is reasonably achievable.
