Our Mission
We connect the North Sea to today’s energy system—and to the energy system of the future.
NGT manages critical infrastructure for the safe and reliable transport of energy from the North Sea to shore. Today for Dutch offshore natural gas, and tomorrow potentially for hydrogen, CO₂ and other energy carriers.
In this way, we connect today’s security of supply with a future-proof energy system.
Our Vision
Existing infrastructure as the foundation for the energy system of the future
The North Sea remains strategically important to the energy supply of the Netherlands and Northwestern Europe. At the same time, the energy system is undergoing fundamental change.
We believe existing infrastructure can continue to play a key role in this transition. By safely and intelligently using our assets, and repurposing them where possible, we can limit new investments, reduce societal costs and accelerate the development of new energy chains.
NGT looks beyond today and beyond a single energy carrier: we are committed to keeping strategic energy infrastructure valuable for the energy system of tomorrow.
