Long-Term Investments in Infrastructure That Make a Difference

NGT is supported by a group of international shareholders with extensive experience in energy, infrastructure, and long-term investments.

Our shareholders share our commitment to a safe, reliable, and efficient energy infrastructure and support NGT in the responsible management and long-term development of its infrastructure.

This long-term focus aligns with the nature of our operations. After all, energy infrastructure is developed and managed over periods spanning decades. Decisions regarding safety, maintenance, asset integrity, investments, and future reuse therefore require a careful and sustainable perspective.

Our Shareholders

NGT’s shareholders comprise a mix of institutional infrastructure investors and international energy companies.

Together, they bring financial strength, international experience, and in-depth knowledge of energy and infrastructure.

This combination supports NGT in fulfilling its dual responsibility: ensuring our infrastructure remains safe and reliable for today’s energy supply while preparing for potential new applications in tomorrow’s energy system.

Governance

NGT operates as an independent company within a clear governance structure.

The Executive Board is responsible for day-to-day management and the implementation of the strategy. The Supervisory Board oversees the Executive Board’s policies and the general course of business within the company.

Important strategic and financial decisions are made within the applicable governance and shareholder structure.

This structure ensures a careful balance between entrepreneurship, independent oversight, and the long-term interests of the company and its shareholders.

Investing with a Long-Term Perspective

Our infrastructure has played a key role in the energy supply of the Netherlands and Northwest Europe for many decades.

That same infrastructure can remain valuable in the future as well.

Together with our shareholders, we therefore look beyond today’s energy supply. We are exploring how existing pipelines, platforms, and onshore facilities can be utilized responsibly for as long as possible and where repurposing them for new energy carriers, such as hydrogen and CO₂, is technically and economically feasible.
