North Sea Energy Infrastructure to the Netherlands

NGT has been managing critical offshore energy infrastructure connecting the North Sea to the Dutch energy system for more than 50 years. Today, we transport and process a significant share of Dutch offshore natural gas production. At the same time, we are exploring how our existing infrastructure can continue to create value for new energy chains in the longer term.

Natural gas continues to play an important role in the energy system of the Netherlands and Northwestern Europe.

NGT provides the infrastructure that enables a significant portion of the Netherlands’ offshore natural gas production to reach the market.

Domestic offshore production contributes to security of supply and makes use of existing infrastructure. NGT has a historical reliability factor of 99.5%.

It is our responsibility to transport and process this energy safely and reliably, with as low an environmental impact as is reasonably achievable.
