We are pleased to announce that Pierre Bartholomeus will become the new Managing Director. The shareholders have great confidence in his ability to continue leading the organization and look forward to a successful collaboration.
Over the past 25 years, Pierre Bartholomeus has gained extensive experience in the international (new) energy and cleantech industries. He is currently Managing Director of Gasunie New Energy, where he focuses on scaling up sustainable energy innovations. In collaboration with joint venture partners, he led the development of a Carbon Capture & Storage infrastructure for Northwest Europe, technologies for the gasification of green gas, and transmission infrastructures for sustainable heat. Previously, he held key positions such as Global Director of Marketing & Sales at Bekaert Heating, Director of Gas Consulting at DNV, and Business Unit Director of Gas Consulting & Services at KEMA. Pierre holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Groningen and a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Hanze University of Applied Sciences in Groningen.
Pierre says of his new role: “I look forward to working with our customers to build a robust energy supply for Northwest Europe; it is a challenging role to shape the energy transition in the North Sea, alongside natural gas transportation, which remains important.”
Lex de Groot, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, adds: “We are delighted to welcome Pierre. With his experience, knowledge, and drive, he will shape the future of NGT during this crucial period of the energy transition.”
The shareholders wish Pierre every success in his new role and sincerely thank Ron for his dedication and significant contributions to NGT over the past years.
